Driver of stolen car found with meth on him

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a man Wednesday morning after finding he was in a stolen car.

An officer in an unmarked car found a stolen car in the Walmart parking lot on Platte Avenue around 1:48 a.m. after running the license plate.

One man, 40-year-old Justin Layton, was in the car. Officers said he had drug paraphernalia and .7 grams of methamphetamine on him.

Officers arrested Layton and returned the car to its owner.

Layton will be charged with theft by receiving and drug charges.
