Mudslide closes highway Monday

EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. -- Highway 24 has reopened from Cave of the Winds to Cascade after Monday's severe thunderstorms caused heavy rain over the Waldo Canyon burn scar. Mud and debris flowing over the road caused the closure for most of Monday evening.

Crystola... Green Mountain Falls... Chipita Park... Cascade... Monument Creek... Camp Creek... Including Queens Canyon... Garden Of The Gods... Rockledge Ranch... 31st Street Channel... Wellington Gulch... Including Chipita Park... Sand Gulch... Including Chipita Park... Fountain Creek And West Monument Creek... Including Extreme Southern Air Force Academy.

Do not drive into areas where water covers the road.
