FREMONT COUNTY, COLO. -- A Canon City man was arrested Tuesday, accused of assaulting a boy in early June.
According to Fremont County Sheriff's deputies, 39-year-old Daniel McDaniel was partying at Phantom Canyon with several underage teenagers on June 2. During an argument, McDaniel hit a 17-year-old boy in the head with a metal flashlight.
The boy was taken to a hospital but did not die.
Deputies arrested McDaniel Tuesday. They said he also gave alcohol to minors at the party.
McDaniel is facing first degree assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor charges.
