U.S. Forest Service monitoring smoke near Blodgett Peak

EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. -- The U.S. Forest Service said they are aware of a possible flare-up in the Waldo Canyon Fire burn area.

Officials said an island of trees is kicking up smoke and possibly flames.

They said the island is surrounded by an area that has already burned.

Crews will continue to monitor the smoke.
