COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A man accused of attacking his wife took their 2-year-old child and the family dog, according to police.
Colorado Springs Police officers said a 26-year-old woman called them to say her husband, 30-year-old Brandon Bingham, threatened to kill her and left with their baby.
Officers found Bingham, who according to his wife has PTSD, near the home in the 2700 block of Brooksedge View walking away with the 18-month-old as well as a dog. When they tried to stop him, he ran.
Officers eventually caught up with him, but Bingham again refused to cooperate. He tried to get the dog to attack the officer, but the officer was able to take him down and get the child away from him.
Bingham was taken to a hospital with minor injuries and will be arrested on domestic violence and attempted assault on an officer charges.
