TELLER COUNTY, COLO. -- Teller County Sheriff's deputies are warning nearby neighborhoods of a lizard that has escaped.
Reverse 911 calls were placed to Woodland West, Westwood Lakes and Rosewood Hills in Teller County warning them of the lizard, which deputies said "may become aggressive.
The lizard's owner informed deputies of the six-foot long, 25-pound reptile's escape around 11:30 a.m. Monday.
Deputies are asking parents to be careful if pets or children are outside. Anyone who sees the lizard should call deputies at (719) 687-9652.
