Body found is Colorado Springs' 13th homicide

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said the body found in southwest Colorado Springs Friday morning is the city's thirteenth homicide of 2012.

Police officers found a woman dead in the 1000 block of Cheyenne Villas Point after checking on her at the request of family members.

Officers originally called the death "suspicious" and confirmed the homicide after the Coroner arrived Friday afternoon.

Officers haven't released the woman's name or any other information about the situation.
