COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said the number of reported burglaries in the Waldo Canyon Fire evacuated areas is now up to 65.

Officers said the updated statistics include 37 houses and 28 cars broken into while residents were evacuated. Those statistics range from June 23 - July 4 and span all evacuated neighborhoods during that time period in Colorado Springs.

Roughly 32,000 people were forced to flee their homes during the last week of June when the fire began in Waldo Canyon, threatened Cedar Heights and eventually spilled into Mountain Shadows.

Most of the 32,000 evacuees have been allowed to return home, though some are without one.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest of any suspects involved with these burglaries. Two people were arrested in Monument for looting homes in the area back in late June.
