COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers have released a photo of the man who impersonated a firefighter during the Waldo Canyon Fire.

One day after 346 homes burned in the Mountain Shadows neighborhood, 53-year-old Kip Peterson walked into the mandatory evacuation area of Rockrimmon dressed in firefighter gear. When officers confronted him, Peterson told them he was a firefighter.

Officers investigated and realized he was an impersonator. They arrested him, but he has since bonded out.
