COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The resources of multiple non-profit and governmental agencies are being brought together as El Paso County opened a Disaster Recovery Center.

El Paso County along with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) and the Division of Emergency Management are using the Recovery Center as a central location where residents who were impacted by the Waldo Canyon Fire can access several services, ranging from help filing insurance claims to grief counseling and building.

The Center opens at 9 a.m., and is headed up by the Director of Operations Monnie Gore. It is located at the former El Paso County Department of Human Services building at 105 North Spruce Street.

Groups offering services include the County Health Department, Pikes Peak Behavioral Health, Veterans Services, United Way and many more.
