CHAFEE COUNTY, COLO. -- Chafee County Sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help find a missing man after a two-day search turned up nothing.

Deputies said 59-year-old Brian Nelson was last seen at his campsite in the Clear Creek Reservoir Wednesday. When nearby campers didn't see any activity at his campsite Friday, they called deputies over concerns for his safety.

Deputies search the area and the water Saturday and Sunday but couldn't find him.

About 25 people were involved in the search for the Salida resident, a 6'5" 220-pound man with hazel eyes, gray hair and a gray goatee and mustache.

Rescue crews were partially distracted over the weekend by an injured hiker on Mount Princeton and several hikers who were said to have been late, though they were found safe.

Anyone who knows where Nelson may be should call deputies at (719) 539-2596
