COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The trial of a teenager charged with first-degree murder in the hacking death of a Colorado Springs man has been delayed.

The case has been postponed while defense attorneys ponder a possible insanity plea for 19-year-old Jordan Rowland.

Friday a judge ruled that Rowland may temporarily withdraw his not-guilty plea pending Rowland's decision on whether to deny the charge by reason of insanity.

A new trial date has not been set.

The teen was arrested last august in connection with a body found buried in brush behind an apartment complex on the 1600 block of Lenmar Dr.

The coroner's office said the victim, 20-year-old, William Mickle, suffered from more than 20 chop wounds to the face.

Roger Julius glover has also been charged with first-degree murder for allegedly soliciting the August slaying.
