COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police have arrested a man following an eight-month-long investigation.
The CSPD said their Crimes Against Children Unit has been investigating a sexual assault involving a child since November 2011.
On Saturday, officers arrested 27-year-old Ryan Cardman following a search of his home on Scottsbluff Drive.
Police said Cardman is accused of engaging in sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl several times in 2006 and 2007, when she was just seven-years-old.
Cardman has been charged with sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, among other things.
Investigators are worried there may be additional victims that have not come forward.
They are asking anyone with additional information to call CSPD at 444-7000.
