Dive team rescues man who tried to escape

FORT COLLINS, COLO. (AP) -- A man being sought for escape has been hospitalized after he was rescued by a dive team after crashing into a canal.

Larimer County deputies say they were trying to stop a suspected intoxicated driver leaving a strip club Monday night when the suspect fled.

According to KMGH-TV, Omar Cornejo-Vasquez escaped from jail where he was serving time for driving under the influence and driving without a license.
