A man was hit by a car on Academy Boulevard Friday.

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Colorado Springs man is recovering from a serious head injury after being hit by a car while crossing Academy Boulevard Friday afternoon.
Colorado Springs Police officers said a man ran across Academy at the Flintridge Drive stoplight against the walk signal. He got about halfway across before a car grazed him. He was able to push off that car, but lost his balance and was hit by another.
He is expected to be okay and is listed in stable condition.
The cars had a green light, and officers said the driver will not be charged.
