MONUMENT, COLO. -- Monument Police officers are asking for your help finding a man or his truck after he tried to pick up a child Thursday evening.
Officers said a man driving a pickup truck near Mount Herman Road and Mitchell Avenue around 6 p.m. tried to entice a child who was walking down the road.
The kid ran away, and the man in the truck drove away.
The man is about 5'10" with a thin build. The child said he's about 40-45 years old with short balding black hair, hazel eyes and speaks with a raspy voice.
His car is possibly a newer model Chevrolet pickup with possible license plate 44H 2X3 out of Colorado. There are barbed wire stickers running down both sides of the front windshield.
