COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The Anti-Defamation League is offering a $1,500 reward for information that leads to the identification and arrest of those responsible for spray painting five swastikas and a Hitler reference on the side of a Jewish synagogue in April.
The league, the Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers and the Colorado Springs Police Department are working together to solve the case.
Some time between 11 p.m. April 19 and 7:15 a.m. April 20, five swastikas, a symbol most noted as the trademark of the Nazi party of Germany, were painted in brown on the side of the Temple Beit Torah in the city. "Happy 4:20 WSC," believed to be a reference to Nazi Party leader Hitler's birthday, was also painted on the building.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (719) 634-STOP. They are also offering a reward on top of the $1,500 offered by the league.
