COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Air Force Academy cadets are fewer than 24 hours away from their graduation ceremony and President Barack Obama's speech.

This will be the president's second visit. His first one was as a Senator, but his arrival as Commander in Chief means security is a priority.

But before the Air Force Academy cadets can celebrate there's a lot of work to be done.

Organizers have spent the past five months preparing for Wednesday's graduation, and it's all coming to a head Tuesday.

The speakers are in, the chairs are set and the teleprompter is being put together.

"That's security, I don't have times, and can't discuss it," John VanWinkle, spokesperson for the Air Force Academy said

So, the best way to prepare for the graduation is to arrive early and be patient.

The public will go through metal detectors and have purses and personal items inspected.

"Basically, treat this like a home football game so, you can bring in water bottles that are factory sealed, but no food, no umbrellas and cameras are good," VanWinkle, said.

Clearing security might feel like the hardest part of the day, but when you consider what these cadets have gone through, it's all worth it.

Due to the increased security the North and South gates will open at 7:30 a.m. The ceremony starts at 10 a.m.
