COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are looking for a man suspected in several robberies where a rock was used as a weapon.
Officers said around 11 p.m. Wednesday they were called to D & S Liquors on Delta Drive.
Employees said a man entered the store, threatened them with a rock and demanded money.
Employees tried to confront the suspect, who then threw the rock at one of the employees and tried to hit another.
The suspect left without any money.
Then, about two hours later, two people came up to officers in the area and said they were approached by a man near Delta Drive and South Chelton Road.
They said he demanded money from both of them and pull out a knife. He also reportedly hit one of the victims.
The suspect was unsuccessful in the robbery.
In both incidents the suspect was described as a black man in this 30s, around 5'7" to 5'10" with a medium build. He was wearing a tan shirt, tan pants and a black ski mask.
Police searched the area but were unable to find the suspect, who was last seen in the area of E. Fountain Boulevard and Alvarado Drive.
