COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a man early Sunday morning for allegedly beating and strangling a woman.
Officers said someone called them about a domestic disturbance around 1:29 a.m. When they got to the home in the 2600 block of Squaw Creek Heights, they heard a man yelling at a woman inside while she was crying.
According to officers, nobody answered the door, so they forced their way in.
In the master bedroom, they found a 21-year-old woman who was bleeding from her face and body. She also had ear and strangulation-related injuries.
Officers arrested 23-year-old Joshua Swarts for attempted second degree murder and child abuse in what they labeled a domestic violence case.
