Woman screaming "let me go" and "drop the knife" leads to man's arrest

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a man late Wednesday night for threatening a woman with a knife in what they're calling a domestic violence incident.

Officers responded to an apartment in the 2900 block Concord Street after someone called them about the incident.

When officers got there, they said they heard a woman screaming "let me go," and "drop the knife."

They met 33-year -old Heraldo Anglada at the door and said he was aggressive and disobedient with them. Officers said they had to use a tasing device and pepper spray on Anglada before putting him in a control hold.

Officers were able to arrest him when he finally stopped resisting around 11:58 p.m. He will be charged with domestic violence-related felony menacing, as well as several other charges. He also had an outstanding warrant.
