COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a teenager early Friday morning after chasing him on foot.
The incident began around 2:17 a.m. when a resident in the 1600 block of Happiness Drive noticed a man in a pickup truck that wasn't his. When he was noticed, the suspect, 19-year-old Joseph Randall, fled the area on foot.
When officers got to the area, the saw Randall on Merry Lane. Randall ran toward Circle Drive and fled south. Officers chased him down Circle, then west on Palmer Park Boulevard before finally catching up to him.
In total, three officers were able to catch him on foot. Randall has a GPS unit, cash, tobacco products and an illegal knife, all items he had stolen from a number of cars.
Randall was taken into custody. Nobody was hurt in the chase.
