COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers have released the name of the man who was found dead in a car in the southeast part of the city Monday.
Officers said 28-year-old Daniel Garcia was killed when someone shot him to death. When the Whispering Pines apartment complex manager found Garcia Monday morning, he said there was a lot of blood around the car, and Garcia appeared to have been shot multiple times.
A neighbor said he heard gunshots but didn't think anything of it.
The El Paso County Coroner confirmed the city's ninth homicide of 2012 during an autopsy.
Officers do not have any suspects and haven't released information on exactly when the shooting happened.
