PUEBLO, COLO. -- A woman who was stabbed by her boyfriend last week died from her injuries Tuesday, according to Pueblo Police officers.
Georgia Medina had been in the hospital for five days after her boyfriend, 37-year-old Mason Romero, allegedly stabbed her Thursday in the 300 block of East Evans Avenue in Pueblo.
Georgia's father, 55-year-old George Medina, was also stabbed by Romero when he tried to help his daughter. He is still in the hospital, but officers said he is progressing and doing better.
Romero was arrested shortly after the stabbing, and officers are upgrading his charges to murder.
