Boyfriend stabs girlfriend and her father

PUEBLO, COLO. -- A man who allegedly stabbed his girlfriend and her father was arrested Thursday morning, according to Pueblo Police officers.

When officers arrived at the home in the 300 block of East Evans Avenue around 8:05 a.m. they found 36-year-old Georgia Medina and 55-year-old George Medina, both with multiple stab wounds.

Officers said Georgia's boyfriend, 37-year-old Mason Romero, stabbed her, and when George tried to help her, Romero stabbed him too.

Romero ran from the home before officers arrived but was later caught and arrested.

Officers said both George and Georgia are in critical condition, and one of them was in emergency surgery Thursday morning. Romero was also taken to the hospital for observation.
