Woman strangled with four kids in home

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a man for allegedly trying to kill a woman while four children were in the home Monday night.

According to officers, 30-year-old Scott Davis strangled a woman until she became unconscious. When officers arrived at the home in the 2400 block of East Willamette Drive around 10:29 p.m., the woman was having trouble breathing and eventually lost consciousness.

She was taken to a local hospital.

Officers arrested Davis for attempted first degree murder, second degree assault, menacing and child abuse.

Four children were in the home at the time, but officers did not say how Davis and the woman were related. The investigation is ongoing.
