COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The last of 22 boys allegedly sexually assaulted by a former Colorado Springs Police officer and wrestling coach took the stand Monday.

The trial for Joshua Carrier, who is accused of more than 200 criminal charges, including sexually assaulting more than a dozen boys, continued Monday.

Carrier was the Resource Officer at Horace Mann Middle School two years ago, then volunteered as an assistant wrestling coach last year, which is when the alleged assaults took place.

Two of the boys who testified Monday both said Carrier called them out of class to "strip search" them for drugs behind closed doors. Unlike most who testified before them, neither of these boys were members of the wrestling team during the 2010-2011 school year.

The boys on the wrestling team who had testified over the past three weeks had said Carrier inappropriately touched them while performing routine "skin checks." Skin checks are exams a coach performs on a wrestler for injuries such as ringworm or lesions that would keep a wrestler from competing.

The boys said they were not naked, but both said Carrier moved their genitals around during the search.

According to a Colorado Springs Police training supervisor, a person cannot be strip searched unless he or she has been arrested, but neither of the boys were arrested prior to the searches.

One boy said Assistant Principal Ken Potman was in the room, the other said Assistant Principal Peggy Layh was there prior to the search. Nick Graham, the school's Security Guard last year, was also present in both cases, according to the boys.

The mother of one of the boys testified Monday the school administrators were not able to give her any answers about why her son was searched unlawfully when she called the school following the incident.

Despite the boy's claims that Layh was present just before the search on him, Layh testified earlier in the trial she was unaware of the searches until the boy's mother made that phone call.

If Carrier is found guilty, he could face life in prison. The trial will continue Tuesday.
