HUERFANO COUNTY, COLO. -- Colorado State troopers said one man died in a crash on Highway 69 near Gardner Sunday afternoon.

Troopers said the crash happened around 2:05 p.m. when a Dodge Ram pickup truck pulling a camping trailer tried to pass a Toyota pickup truck.

Both trucks were going north on the highway. The Toyota's driver, 60-year-old Randall Dressler from Gardner, slowed down to make a left hand turn into a private driveway. The Ram's driver, 62-year-old Richard Garrett of Grand Junction, was driving behind Dressler and tried to pass him in the southbound lane. His truck hit Dessler's truck, causing it to roll off the road.
