PUEBLO, COLO. -- Pueblo Police officers have arrested a man allegedly responsible for an armed robbery Thursday morning.
According to officers, a masked man robbed the Flowerama in the 1200 block of Lake Avenue at gunpoint around 10:10 a.m. Witnesses said he took off his mask after getting into a silver VW Beetle and drove off.
Witnesses were able to get the license plate, which was registered to a Pueblo West address, and set up along Highway 50 to watch for the car, When they saw it pull into a gas station around 10:30, they arrested the man, 27-year-old Delorean Speaks, and we able to identify him through witnesses at the Flowerama shop.
When officers searched Speaks' car, they found a BB gun that matched the description given by a Flowerama witness, the cash they thought Speaks stole and a mask.
