PUEBLO, COLO. -- Fire crews in Pueblo had their hands full Monday dealing with a wide range of multiple fire calls.

Officials said many of the calls came in just a three hour time span.

Beginning just after 11 a.m. Monday officials battled a burning pile of trash whose embers sparked a fire inside Performance Auto Body, leaving a vehicle inside a total loss.

Just an hour later crews said they were called out for a burning pile of yard debris that turned into an out of control fire.

Firefighters also had to battle a brush fire, multiple trees on fire, a fire in the bottom of a river bed and a waste pile fire.

Officials said residents were lucky the fires did not result in any injuries.

Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor said he wants to remind people that there are absolutely no fires allowed during Red Flag days.

He also warned that even when burning is permitted, people need to remember to completely put their fires out so left over embers don't ignite when strong winds kick up the next day.
