COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers have announced a man convicted of sexually assaulting a child six years ago has moved into the city.
Kevin Alter was convicted of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust and aggravated incest in 2006 in El Paso County. He has also been convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia, third degree assault and failure to register as a sex offender.
The 30-year-old sexually violent predator is now living in the 2700 block of Willamette Place.
Officers have gone through the necessary steps to make sure Alter registers as a sex offender in the city this time. He is also under probation supervision.
Alter is a white man, about 5'10" and weighs 190 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is one of nine sexually violent predators living in the city.
