Springs police investigate overnight shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are investigating an overnight shooting at the Hill Park Apartments.

Authorities responded to the area of Murray Boulevard and South Platte Avenue just after midnight Tuesday for reports of shots fired.

At the scene, officers found a male victim with a gunshot wound to his foot.

Officers believe the suspected gunman fired the shots from a car before fleeing the scene.

Officials did not have a description of the driver but described the suspect's car as a white sedan with a loud muffler.

The victim was transferred to Memorial Hospital. His injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
