SECURITY, COLO. -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who may have lost cash at a gas station recently to come forward because it may be yours.

Deputies said someone found a large amount of cash at the Diamond Shamrock in the 200 block of Main Street in Security around 6 a.m. Wednesday. Employees at the store said the cash was dropped by a customer making gas and merchandise purchases.

Employees held the money hoping the customer would return but have now turned it over to the Sheriff's Office.

The customer is a white man in his mid to l ate 20s. He wore overalls, a hoodie and a baseball cap and drove a white pickup truck with a motorcycle in the back.

Anyone who knows who the man might be should contact deputies at (719) 390-5555.
