Sandwich shop robbed by masked gunman

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers are looking for a man who robbed a sandwich store in the city Sunday evening.

Officers said a man carrying a gun came into Schlotzsky's Sandwich Deli in the 2300 block of North Academy Boulevard around 7:42 p.m. and demanded cash.

Witnesses said the man is black, in his 20s and is about 6'3." Officers did not give any other information about his description but said he ran from the store south on foot between buildings and may have gotten into a car that was waiting for him.

Officers tried searching for him with a K-9 unit

but couldn't find him. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (719) 444-7000.
