COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers have arrested one man and are looking for others in connection with car break-ins early Sunday morning.
Officers said someone called them saying they saw a man take a radio out of a car and leave, possibly armed with a knife in the 2100 block of Delta Drive in the city.
An officer approached the suspect, 24-year-old Justin Rivera, who dropped the knife as the officer approached him. The person who made the call to police identified Rivera as the man who was breaking into the car.
Rivera was arrested and charged with first degree trespass.
Early Monday morning, 27-year-old Eric Neal was arrested after officers received another call in reference to a car break-in. Officers found Neal hiding in the area and arrested him, linking him to several other burglaries.
Officers said Neal had an accomplice who has been identified but won't be named until officers find him.
Officers are continuing the investigation to try to identify other potential suspects in both cases.
