Teen in hospital after jumping on moving car

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A teenage boy is in critical condition at an area hospital after falling while trying to jump on the hood of a car while it was moving Tuesday night.

According to Colorado Springs Police officers, four 16-17-year-olds were driving in the south parking area of Palmer Park around 8:50 p.m. when another teenager tried jumping on the hood of the car. The boy fell, hitting his head on the pavement.

Officers said he was in critical condition at a hospital.

Officers are continuing the investigation but said the driver will likely face a careless driving resulting in injury charge.
