COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Another Walgreens has been robbed in Colorado Springs, this time on North Academy Boulevard.
It happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday at the store near the intersection of Academy and North Carefree Circle
Colorado Springs Police officers said the man handed the pharmacist a note demanding prescription drugs.
He is described as 5'10" to 6" tall, with a medium build, last seen wearing a dark jacket and pants, a black hoodie and gray knit cap.
The suspect also had his face covered.
This is the latest in a string of Walgreens robberies.
Last weekend, two stores were robbed in the area.
The first was at the intersection of Constitution Avenue and Powers Boulevard, and the second was in Falcon.
Both times, the suspect took prescription drugs.
Officers do not know if the robberies are connected but are asking anyone with information to call them at (719) 444-7000.
