COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Parents beware after a man followed a little girl out selling Girl Scout cookies.

Colorado Springs Police officers responded to the 1500 block of Foote Avenue, near Cache La Poudre Street and Hancock Avenue, after a 10-year-old girl ran home telling her parents about a "suspicious car."

The girl had been talking to a neighbor about buying cookies when a man pulled up in a white van.

The man allegedly told the child, "get into the van, I know your parents, and they wanted me to pick you up."

The girl refused and walked away, but the van followed her.

The driver stopped in an alley behind the girl's house and got out of the van. That's when the girl ran.
