COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a man for burglary after he assaulted another man, then rammed his car into that man's garage before plowing over a mailbox as he left.
Officers said around 5:02 p.m. Tuesday, 32-year-old Jonathan Flower went to a home in the 4400 block of Allison Drive to try to get his personal belongings.
Flower allegedly kicked down the door and began assaulting a man who lived there. The fight continued outside when Flower tried choking the victim before being removed by a concerned neighbor.
Flower then got into his car, drove it into the garage door of the house, then ran over the victim's mailbox before leaving.
Officers stopped Flower after seeing him leaving the area and arrested him.
The homeowner was taken to a hospital with facial injuries but later released.
