COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- More travel options are coming to the Colorado Springs Airport as Frontier Airlines announces that it is adding more nonstop flights.

The company said starting in May the airline will offer nonstop flights from the Springs to Phoenix, Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles.

In a release, Frontier's Senior Vice President said that the airline's commitment to Colorado Springs "extends far beyond the addition of these new markets. We look forward to becoming a bigger part of the southern Colorado community and serving as your hometown low-cost airline."

Mayor Steve Bach praised the move and said that the new flights are an important step toward creating the best possible "business climate" for the city.
