WALSENBURG, COLO. (AP) -- A hearing where two fugitive brothers from Florida were expected to enter a plea or advise a judge of the resolution of their Colorado case has been postponed.
Twenty-one-year-old Ryan Dougherty and 26-year-old Dylan Dougherty appeared separately in district court in Walsenburg Monday morning. The Pueblo Chieftain reports that Chief District Judge Claude Appel admonished deputies for transporting Dylan Dougherty from Pueblo, 45 miles away, to Walsenburg for the hearing, despite ordering that Dougherty appear via video.
Deputies moved Dylan Dougherty to Pueblo after authorities foiled an alleged escape.
A hearing is now scheduled for Feb. 16 for both brothers.
The two, and sister Lee Grace Dougherty, are accused of shooting at a police officer in Florida, authorities in Colorado, as well as a Georgia bank robbery.
