FORT CARSON, COLO. -- Fort Carson investigators have charged one of their own with murder after a body was found in the barracks on Jan. 8.
Officials with the Mountain Post have placed Sgt. Vincinte Jackson in pretrial confinement and have charged him with an Article 118, which is murder with premeditation.
Spc. Brandy Fonteneaux was found dead around 9:30 a.m. that day, reportedly with stab wounds.
Fonteneaux was a food service specialist in the 4th Engineer Battalion and served in the Army for more than two years.
Jackson is part of the 576th Engineer Company, 4th Engineer Battalion.
