COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said a man accused of sexually assaulting multiple children under the age of 9 killed himself Tuesday afternoon.
According to officers, 53-year-old Raymond Turner allegedly sexually assaulted multiple kids.
Officers began the investigation in September of 2011 interviewing Turner and the victims, after the first case was reported.
According to the arrest affidavit, one of the little boys involved in the case started crying when his mother told him he was going to Turner's home to be babysat. The young child went on to say he was touched in his privates while asleep at the Turner home.
But when Turner was questioned by police he denied the incident saying, "I didn't touch him at all," despite having admited to touching his biological daughter 30 years ago.
Another report was filed against Turner in November of 2011 after another mother told officers her son and daughter had been touched while living in the Turner home. Her son said, "Ray Ray played with my pee pee, he rubbed it and pinched it."
Turner was arrested Thursday and was being charged with four counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.
Officers did not say exactly how many victims there were, only that they are all younger than 9 years old.
According to CSPD, the investigation is over because of Turner's suicide.
