COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested three people who robbed a jewelry store Friday, then crashed a car into a house before finally being caught.

The three suspects, 51-year-old Obdulio Arvelo, 48-year-old Julio Castro, and 20-year-old Moises Garduno, robbed Bowie's Gold and Diamonds in the 2200 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue around 8:13 a.m. Witnesses and victims said at least two men robbed the employees at gunpoint. One of the suspects hit an employee during the robbery, but the victim did not need medical attention.

The suspects fled in a white SUV and refused to stop when officers tried pulling them over.

After getting into a crash on Circle Drive and Platte Avenue, the car continued to speed away and went off the road into fences, yards and a house.

The suspects got out and ran after pulling over in the 3000 block of Mission Street, but officers quickly established a perimeter and arrested two of them as they were trying to sneak through yards out of the area.

A third suspect was arrested after trying to divert officers by calling in a false armed robbery nearby.
