Woman brings dynamite to police station

PUEBLO, COLO. -- Pueblo Police officers evacuated the area around the Police Department building for a short time as a precaution after a woman brought dynamite she had found to officers Friday morning.

According to officers, the woman found dynamite and brought it to the station in her car. Officers did not say where she found it.

Her car was parked in the garage in the 100 block of South Main Street.

Officers asked the public to avoid the area while Bomb Squad officials looked into the situation.

The bomb squad recovered the dynamite and said there was no immediate danger to the public.
