COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said the man who was found dead in the city Monday night was killed after being kidnapped from Pueblo.
Officers said 21-year-old Jeremy Naranjo died after being shot by somebody, but they haven't named any suspects.
His body was found in the 5900 block of Rim Ridge Court near Academy Boulevard and Vickers Drive in Colorado Springs around 11:24 p.m.
"I just went out to my car and turned on the headlights and saw what looked like a body, and sure enough it was," Tim Wooldridge said.
Tim Wooldridge said when he looked closer, he saw Naranjo lying face down in a pool of blood.
He said Naranjo's hands were cuffed behind his back.
"After that I kind of felt sick," Wooldridge said.
Wooldridge has lived in Colorado Springs since 1998 and is a local musician.
He said in all the years he has lived and worked in the area, he has never seen anything like this.
"We have had stuff stolen out of cars, typical stuff, but never a body laid out in a neighborhood," Wooldridge said.
Pueblo Police officers said Naranjo was kidnapped from the 2100 block of Hellbeck Drive in Pueblo Monday.
In the hopes of finding some answers, investigators spent Tuesday looking for clues in the area where Naranjo was kidnapped, and where his body was left.
"Twenty-one is a very young age to die, and especially to die such a violent death," Barbara Miller with the Colorado Springs Police Department said.
Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 444-7000.
