CANON CITY, COLO. -- SWAT team members from the Fremont County Sheriff's Office arrested a man Thursday who appeared to be connected with a gang member arrested the night before.
Wednesday evening, Francisco Salazar, a member of the Surenos Gang, was arrested around 11:30 p.m. after drugs and weapons were found in a car he was driving that did not have the proper plates on it.
The next morning, the SWAT team searched a home in the 700 block of Cobalt Avenue and found more drugs and guns there.
Deputies arrested 36-year-old Brandon Foster who was at the home at the time. Foster is being charged with possessing drugs and paraphernalia, possessing a gun and seven counts of possession of a gun by a previous offender. His bond is $10,000.
Deputies said additional arrests are expected, and Salazar may also face more charges in connection with the search.
