LAMAR, COLO. -- Lamar Police officers have arrested a man allegedly responsible for intoxicating and tattooing a mentally disabled man back in November.
On Nov. 15, Terry Ausbun from Oklahoma allegedly provided intoxicants to Granada resident Jeremy Hendricks. Hendricks' family said he is a mentally disabled adult with the mental capability of a 4-year-old.
Officers said Ausbun was in a position of trust when he gave Hendricks the intoxicants, which impaired Hendricks' ability to think and function. While intoxicated, Ausbun put permanent tattoos on Hendricks' right forearm, facial area and neck.
Officers said the tattoos have defaced and disfigured Hendricks' appearance. Family members said Hendricks is embarrassed by the incident and is afraid to go outside.
Officers have charged Ausbun with first degree assault, conspiracy to commit first degree assault, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and crimes against an at-risk adult.
His bond is $20,000
