COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Just in time for the holidays, another 200 Fort Carson soldiers will be welcomed home by friends and family Friday morning.

Soldiers from the 4th Infantry Division's 2nd Brigade Combat Team are returning home from a six-month deployment in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The return of the soldiers during the holidays is a welcome treat since they are coming home six months ahead of their original timeline due to the successful completion of their mission.

During their deployment the soldiers worked closely with Afghan National Army and the Afghan Uniformed Police to help increase stability and security in the country.
