DENVER (AP) -- Supporters are Occupy Denver are facing a deadline to move items from a sidewalk along a downtown park.
The public works department has notified Occupy Denver that workers will start removing items like blankets and tarps sometime Thursday if Occupy supporters don't do so.
By mid-morning, supporters had moved about half the items across the street from Civic Center Park to the sidewalk closer to the state Capitol. Occupy has been asking people to show up in support and about 50 people have gathered there. That's much larger than usual weekday presence.
Supporters have also been asking for donations of building materials and The Denver Post reported that a handful of new structures were put up along the sidewalk Wednesday night.
